YouTube has signed popular streamer Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg to an exclusive streaming deal allowing the platform to keep one of it’s biggest stars within their platform for the future.
Although no terms of the deal have been officially announced, it aims to be quite a lucrative agreement for PewDiePie who managed to secure an exclusive contract despite a number of public mishaps, some bad press, and his departure from Disney back in 2017 following his comments in a controversial PUBG stream.
“YouTube has been my home for over a decade now and live streaming on the platform feels like a natural fit as I continue to look for new ways to create content and interact with fans worldwide,” PewDiePie” said in an official statement (h/t VG247)
“Live streaming is something I’m focusing a lot on in 2020 and beyond, so to be able to partner with YouTube and be at the forefront of new product features is special and exciting for the future.”
