New to Gamactica? There is a lot to do, and we are an innovative social media platform that is focused on content, discovery, and social. Here is a good starter guide on exploring/utilizing our platform. Examples below are from the desktop website, but have the same usage on the mobile app
Building Connections & Followers
Like any social media platform, it’s all about building your social network. We have two forms of connecting with other members
1. Connections: this allows you to connect with someone and add them to your network, but they do not appear in your feed.
2. Follow: this allows you to follow someone, and now their posts will be visible in your timeline
This allows you to control your network and filter your feed according to your interests and the content you want to see.
Finding Members of Interest
We built our social platform with the intent on creating a better, smarter, and more connected algorithm that align with your interests and what you want to see. Our Member Search & Discovery tool is built to optimize.
Member Types: you can find this drop down menu on the desktop website and the mobile app in the Members section (Network in the mobile app, under More tab)This drop down will allow you to find people with specific designations for their profile such as Actor, Content Creator, Esports Team, Podcast, Investor, Journalist, etc.
Now, you can build a social network completely crafted to your interests. If you want to change your member profile type – simply contact us via our Support Group, or one of our Staff such as ‘AnthonyDiMoro
Groups (Communities)
We have a number of Groups (Communities) on Gamactica and are adding more as we progress. Each Group is a social media community centered on that Group’s purpose, such as a video game, a community, or an interest group (Music, Sports, etc)
You can find a specific group by either using the Search bar OR by using our Group Type filter to find something a bit more specific
Each group has a Forum where you can browse topics that other members have posted and jump in the thread. You also have the option to Subscribe to a topic so you can get email alerts when there are replies. You can Unsubscribe at any time.
Creators on Disko will have their own Communities on Gamactica, specifically for their live-stream chats, and for their audiences to socialize, connect with and follow the creator brand, and talk about the show.
Search Engines
One of the many unique aspects of Gamactica is our variety of Search Engines, completely integrated with the platform. You can find our search engines under the ‘Explore’ tab on the website OR under the magnifying glass icon on the mobile app. You can also go to https://disko.social/about-gamactica
When you select a Search Engine you can search for the content, creator, brand, and/or business that you’re looking for. Often times, you can find content to watch right there, but you will also have quick links to connect/follow them on Gamactica

Gamactica operates like many other popular social media platform. While much of our features are still in beta modes, we do have a lot of features that allow you to use Gamactica in a way you are used to.
