Overwatch League’s San Francisco Shock have established a partnership with fitness healthcare brand Hyperice which will provide the Shock with its recovery devices and methodology to assist in maintaining players’ well-being.
According to Hyperice CEO Jim Huether (h/t Esports Observer), Hyperice will develop “gamer-specific recovery and mobility protocols” with the team and has built a customized Hyperice Wellness Pod for the Shock’s house in Los Angeles, California.
Additionally, each player from the team has been provided Hypervolt, Vyper, and Venom from Hyperice, which is using their new partnership to test out a new massage ball, the Hypersphere Mini, which the brand believes could be a fit for the gaming marketplace.
No details pertaining to the length, or financial aspects of the deal have been made public.
