Samsung has officially signed on as the main partner for DreamHack Mobile series, a two-game tournament that was launched in March 2019 and features Clash Royale and Brawl Stars with a collective prize pool of around $20,000 per event.
The partnership with DreamHack marks the digital festival company’s first major involvement in the mobile phone esports space.
Samsung will deliver official tournament phones, with the Samsung Galaxy S10 and A70 to be featured at events, and an expo booth for the phone manufacturer.
“We are excited to join forces with DreamHack this year, as we have a growing consumer base of gamers,” said Andreas Bergqvist, product manager telecom Samsung Nordics (h/t Esports Observer). “This is a natural development as we have continued [to] lead the mobile industry with innovative products where the quality of the screen as well as the power and performance support a top-notch gaming experience.”
