Twitch finally addressed the incident that occurred over the weekend that has a number of streamers upset, and has the hashtag #TwitchIsOverParty trending on Twitter over the weekend.
The incident showcased just how petty the streaming giant is following the defection of Ninja over to Mixer, and if you want the full breakdown of what happened, you can read the story here.
Twitch’s CEO Emmett Shear issued the following statement: “On a more personal note, I want to apologize directly to Ninja that this happened. It wasn’t our intent, but it should not have happened. No excuses.”
2/ This helps all streamers as it creates new community connections. However, the lewd content that appeared on the @ninja offline channel page grossly violates our terms of service, and we’ve permanently suspended the account in question.

Twitch has a slew of issues to deal with, beyond the Ninja fiasco, including the questionable mature content, nudity, animal abuse, racial slurs, and a completely arbitrary enforcement of their Terms of Service.
Now, with more options for streamers, people who aren’t happy with Twitch have other options, and maybe should strongly consider exploring them given how Twitch has operated since becoming a media juggernaut.
