Misfits Gaming has officially received grants to establish it’s headquarter, an estimated 18,000 square foot facility, in Boca Raton, Florida.
According to the official press release, Misfits Gaming Group will create 30 new jobs with the opening of its corporate headquarters, which is said to be an investment of over $1.35 million.
“Thanks to the state of Florida, we’re excited to be opening our headquarters in Boca Raton next year” Ben Spoont, CEO and Co-founder of Misfits Gaming Group said in the statement. “Boca Raton will be our base of operations for our global esports teams, as well as our 2 Florida-based franchised esports teams, the Florida Mayhem and Florida Mutineers.
“Through these local teams, we’ll be running several large-scale esports events in the state throughout the year, in addition to college tournaments and community events. It’s our goal to help grow the esports and gaming communities in Florida. We want to provide a platform for gamers to connect with each other, and give young professionals a path into the industry.”
