StreamElements has released a report analyzing the grow of popular streaming platform Twitch, and the numbers show marked growth.
The report shows that Twitch generated 2.7 billion hours of content-viewing hours in the first quarter of 2019, a big increase from the 2018 numbers, a 35% jump.
“Compared to Q1 2018, that was a 35% increase in Twitch viewership hours. January 2019 was also a record-breaking month for Twitch, marking 948 million viewership hours” the report outlined.
The report also noted that YouTube Live is growing as well, and while it isn’t at the level of Twitch, or close to it, “Its viewership almost doubled between Q1 2018 and Q1 2019.”
The report goes on to shows some of the most viewed games, with Fortnite still king, and League of Legends holding firm at #2, but Apec Legends making a serious climb in 2019.
